12 Must Have Items to Pack In Your Theme Park Bag

Have you booked a theme park visit this summer and are wondering what to bring? Here are 12 must have items to pack in your theme park bag for the parks!

#1 Poncho

Weather is definitely unpredictable and the last thing you want is to be soaked! We bring a poncho in our bag because they are compact and easy to throw on in the middle of a rainstorm. They can even protect your bag as well unlike some more fitted rain jackets.

#2 Tylenol

You can bet you’ll be walking a lot more than usual so bringing some pain relief is a must for us! We like to bring these dissolve packs to throw in our mouth on the go!

#3 Band-aids

Speaking of walking, you’re likely to start getting a few blister formations. We pack some band-aids in our bag to put on when we start to feel them forming.

#4 Rechargeable Fan

Lately everywhere feels SO HOT and standing in line for hours can likely form some sweat beads. We recommend throwing a compact reusable fan in your bag. We love this one as it is very powerful and lasts for hours. We also use it at night as a sound machine to help us sleep.

#5 Reusable Straw

Due to environmental initiatives, a lot of parks are not providing straws or are providing paper straws. While I love the environment, I loathe paper straws so I bring my own reusable one. It’s easy to use and throw back in your bag to wash later.

#6 Fuel Rod (Portable Charger)

How is it 10am and I’m already at 40%? I ask myself this question a lot in theme parks. Between taking pictures, looking at the map and playing games while in line, your battery is sure to start dying quickly. We recommend bringing a Fuel Rod (or another portable charger) with you so you can charge your phone throughout the day. If you’re in a Disney park, you can exchange your empty Fuel Rod for a full one at any time free of charge once you purchase your first one.

#7 Sunscreen

That sun is fierce! Be sure to put on sunscreen and bring some extra in your bag for when you start to feel like you’re burning.

#8 Magic Band

If headed to Disney, we love to pack our Magic Band in our park bag and throw it on in line before going into the park. We also immediately put it back in our bag when we get back to the hotel so we know where it is the next morning.

#9 Hand Sanitizer

I don’t know about you but I can’t go anywhere without hand sanitizer anymore and if you’re visiting a park where you’ll touch a lot of surfaces, you’ll definitely want to bring yours too! Apply often to stay safe and healthy.

#10 Socks

Does anyone love wet socks? NO! Because I hate wet socks with a passion, I always bring an extra set of socks just in case it rains or I get wet on a water ride. Dry Socks = Happy Gal!

#11 Kleenex

This is just one of those staples I bring in any bag and is very useful for when I need a tissue (or napkin) and can’t get out of line.

#12 Gum

If you didn’t know, Disney does not sell gum in the parks so if you’re an avid gum chewer (like my husband) you’ll want to bring your own just in case.
